Clearance Law Requirements All school employees are required by PA School Code to provide new clearances every five years. Employees, coaches, substitutes and volunteers with clearances nearing the 5 year anniversary date must obtain new clearances and provide them to the KCSD Human Resources Office prior to expiration. Employees and coaches may log in to the employee portal to check clearance dates. |

Substitute positions are available for Custodians, Cafeteria, LPN and RN.
Substitute pay rate for Custodians and Cafeteria is $12/hr.
Substitute pay rate for LPN's is $15/hr.
Substitute pay rate for RN's is $115/day and $130/day (KCSD retirees only).

Prospective Teacher Substitutes Act 86 of 2016
- Must be currently enrolled in a Pennsylvania approved college or university teacher preparation program.
- Must have a minimum of 60 semester hours or equivalent.
- May teach a maximum of 20 days per year.
- Meet requirements of Section 111, 111.1, and 1109 of the School Code related to clearances and moral character.
